Michael is the Managing Director of Slade Industries, bringing more than 41 years of industry experience across a broad range of sectors including oil & gas, petroleum refining, chemical processing, power generation, water and wastewater, mining, and pulp and paper.

An Instrument Technician by trade, Michael has an extensive background in the construction, commissioning, and maintenance of process control assets and critical infrastructure. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director in 1998, he held numerous supervisory and leadership roles, developing deep technical expertise and a strong operational understanding of complex industrial environments.

Under his leadership, Slade Industries, a family-owned business originally incorporated in 1975 as Instrument Maintenance Services, has grown into a trusted industry partner, now operating for more than 50 years. Michael’s long-standing commitment to technical excellence, safety, and client partnerships continues to underpin the company’s reputation and sustained success.
